In 2013 the sales in men´s clothing rose up 10% in USA (Bein&CO) meanwhile women´s clothing only rose up a 0,9% in the same period. The world market for menswear is expected to exceed $402 billion in 2014.
Now men are more worry about fashion, trends and look attractive, they like to go shopping inspired in men´s magazines as GQ, Esquire or Men´s Health. In the past few years there were some men icons inside fashion that became influencers or top bloggers as The Sartorialist. The fashion industry is not only for women. Time and culture changes everyday and this is the result.
Now we are living in a fashion trend called UNIXEX or ANDROGYNOUS, but Is it only a fleeting trend?
"The androgynous fashion is taking more and more strength, understanding it more as an ambiguous mind than a traditional one , a vision that don´t know about gender. It is not just clothes, is a way to express yourself and show it to others, forgetting stereotypes of "masculine" fashion or "feminine." We choose clothing that suits us well and speaks of us, whether girl or boy. Unisex fashion is gaining ground."
