Malasaña is a neighborhood in the city centre of Madrid. It is known as the  alternative place to go, but why? Because of its strategic location between Chueca (gay tradition) and Argüelles ( near the University area ). The streets of Malasaña started its history with the movement called the Movida Madrileña of the 70s and 80s. That days this place was full of rock and underground culture around the night of Madrid, right now you can find there hipsters and it is place to find new brands , designers and full of trends and stylish people. 

We start our route with old fashioned bar and pubs as Palentino or Casa Camacho were you can find low cost drinks, never forget to get on "yayo"

Penta or the Via Lactea are locals of Malasaña with a large tradition that keep a little bit of what it was during the Movida Madrileña.

If you are looking for a new outfit or discover colorful clothing, your shops are Trakabarraka or Lady Cacahuete. Monkey Garden is a place with cool brands and emerging designers clothes.

If you are looking for a second hand shop with vintage clothing you must go to El templo de Susu.

How did Trakabarraka start?

In 2005 Trakabarraka started its way. It is a vintage brand full of colors and keep an eye in every detail. Nowadays Trakabarraka is in more than 100 sale points in Spain and it is expanding its borders to France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Japan and USA.

This brand and its sale points have the same line with a very clear purpose, dress classy and elegant every women.

What is the style of the brand?

A vintage brand that is based on colorful designs.

What is the philosophy of the brand?

We want to communicate our philosophy trough out color, difference and happiness. Make special every women that wear our designs and we want to be sure don´t be unnoticed in a world full of fast fashion companies.

After New York, Milan, Madrid, London and Paris fashion show we have chosen some trends for next season across all designers from emergent ones to famous.

Now men are more worry about fashion, trends and look attractive, they like to go shopping inspired in men´s magazines as GQ, Esquire or Men´s Health. In the past few years there were some men icons inside fashion that became influencers or top bloggers as The Sartorialist. The fashion industry is not only for women. Now we are living in a fashion trend called UNIXEX or ANDROGYNOUS, but Is it only a fleeting trend?

Hello! Hola! First and foremost, hope everyone had a great 4th of July! If you guys recall, my latest pic on Instagram is one of myself wearing one of our very own brands, Red&Rouge. The brand makes amazing handmade, artisanal turbans! Can you say J’ADORE?! The craze for headpieces is at its peak this year and I could not be more excited! They turn a basic outfit into a head turner…all with a simple touch!

Turbans have been everywhere lately and are staying for a few more seasons. I recently read an article on WWD.com called “Resort 2015 Trend: Gentle Women”. Pictured were these amazing women in resort 2015 collections with nonetheless TURBANS! As I flipped the pages I totally pictured myself in various outfits with similar fab pieces on my head! I instantaneously went home and grabbed my Red&Rouge turbans out for a spin!

Below I will post a few pics of how you can wear them. Hope they serve as an inspiration to you gals! These pieces are so versatile and easy-peasy! I am not much of an accessories person but I have been drawn into this trend. It can make you stand out with just one simple addition. They give you a ‘cool chic’ edge and can really be worn anywhere and anyhow!

"A T-shirt  is a style of soft shirt, named after the T shape of the body and sleeves. It is normally associated with short sleeves, a round neck line known as a "crew neck", and no collar."

In 1913 the first form that the T-shirt took was called a union suit in New York. It was one piece garment in white color. In 1951 this product arrived in Hollywood in a sexy way with Marlon Brandon and all the teens wanted one. Later in the middle of the 50´s the T-shirt was an icon of rebellion, "Rebel Without a Cause."

In the 60`s the T-shirt started to go in the same way of the culture and music. Rock, Phycodelia, Punk and they became in art works since in last 70`s when turned into a essential in any wardrobe and not only in men´s. 

Now the T-shirt is a media channel to express and confess what you feeling or what you think about life, politics and culture: Message T-shirts.
