Tras varias reuniones y mucho trabajo por fin llega el día. Una breve crónica del detrás de las cámaras.

Domingo a las 10 de la mañana, llegamos impacientes al punto de encuentro. Allí están todos los modelos, la fotógrafa y su asistente. Hace un día fantástico y estamos en Brighton Beach, cerca de Coney Island. Después de tomar un café empezamos a la acción. Los outfits de John, Bruno y Rubén son de Guiem, sudaderas y camisetas donde un gris suave hace de lienzo para los coloridos detalles.

Adriana y Elena llevan zapatos de Yaninna y Bhava, prendas de Nusk y Guiem y turbantes de Red and Rouge.

La mezcla de las marcas crea un outfit muy trendy y veraniego, diferente y con el touch of spain. Paula, la fotógrafa sabe como sacar el potencial de los modelos y del paisaje. Entre risas y cambios de ropa se va pasando el día. Después de tomar unos hot dogs en Coney Island volvemos al trabajo. La historia del Lookbook de este año va a ser muy diferente y fresca. Playa, mar y un grupo de amigos disfrutando de un día de primavera en Nueva York.

Ahora vamos a por el segundo. Totalmente diferente en cuanto localización y outfits.

Jueves a las 9 de la mañana en Financial District. El día prometía ser mas soleado, pero aquí uno nunca sabe. Misma ilusión y ganas de hacer un trabajo tan bueno como el del shooting anterior. Esta vez las modelos son Oxana, Belén, Rafi y Katharina, cada una con un estilo diferente. Los outfits de Celia Valverde le dan ese toque sofisticado a la ropa de oficina, mientras que los vestidos de Lucía transmiten un estilo urbano, ambos muy coloridos y femeninos. Los zapatos de Yaninna combinan a la perfección junto con los turbantes de Red and Rouge. Tras muchas capturas de la cámara de Paula nos movemos por todo Wall Street para captar la esencia de Nueva York. Después de reponer fuerzas con unos Bagels seguimos trabajando duro, esta vez en el Socarrat Paella Bar de Midtown, donde simulamos y celebramos una pequeña fiesta. Globos, confetis, cupcakes y todos los elementos para que este shooting fuera increíble.

Dos días de shooting intensos, siete modelos e influencers en NY, una fotógrafa y asistente profesionales y muchas ganas de enseñaros el resultado final del LOOKBOOK de Beiñ 2015. Toca esperar un poco al proceso de postproducción pero sabemos que os va a encantar.

We met him in a typical underground area in Madrid, Malasaña. This place is amazing to get new ideas and see new trends.

We said hello and he started speaking about his new collection...

This is a collection very different of the others because the designs are more simple and easy to wear. The whole collection is based on sweaters and T-shirts grey and white. And as a good new this collection is UNISEX so women can wear it too.

Geometric lines and pastel colors are the protagonists of the collection. I wanted to create funny, comfortable and atemporal clothes.

Also I wanted to play with the "twin" concept is when you can combine your clothes with your couple, friends...

We saw the designs and we love them and the UNISEX concept is amazing but we want to know a little bit more...

With this collection I want to transmit the spring touch, hacines  good weather...is the time to do what you want and enjoy everyday. Spring is the time to be different and be free and my designs say it.  

We touched the designs and what kind of materials do you use?

Cotton is the protagonist as in the other collection, but I have used in some of them polyster to make the clothes lightest and with best fall.

 

And what is your favorite design?

I love sweaters of Love and Hate, they are my favorites. I think this creation reflects perfectly the love/hate relationship we have.

And now we want to know more about future plans for the brand, what are the following steps?

 

The idea is continue looking for new sales points in USA, Europe and Spain. I trulla think that you can make it real when you have a good distribution network.  

When you talk with him is really nice..."good mood" and you can see it in his designs but how is the client of Guiëm?

I think they value the originality and creativity, they like to wear what they are. People that feel in a good mood all time and they always see the positive

part of the things. I would like this will be the essence of Guiëm and the people that wear it.

And for ending... as a Made In Spain deisgner we want to know what have been the best moment for the brand? 

The best moment is when you see and hear good thing about the brand and when the costumer starts to feel the brand.

The color is again a fundamental value in the collection: red, blue or yellow, on gray, black and white bases, create a color balance combined with exclusive prints created for this season.
